Common Side Effects

Common side effects of CAYSTON include:

  • Coughing
  • Nasal congestion
  • Wheezing
  • Sore throat
  • Fever (may be more common in children than in adults)
  • Chest discomfort
  • Stomach area (abdominal) pain
  • Vomiting

In a clinical trial, dysgeusia (lingering or persistent foul taste) was reported by 1 patient treated with 75 mg CAYSTON and 1 placebo-treated patient.10
